Our good friend, Adrian Younge (Wax Poetics Records) opened a record store in downtown LA a few month ago. The store is called The Artform Studio.
Mike James Kirkland (Ubiquity Records)'s album release party will take place at the Artform Studio on Saturday, 10/15. Here is the schedule for the evening.
1) Cocktails/food/Djs: 6-8:30pm
2) Movie screening: 8:30-9:15pm
3) Mike Kirkland discussion/signing: 9:30pm –
10:15
- Signing and Q&A
4) Dilla/houseshoes: 10:15– 10:45pm
- Discussion, exhibition, etc.
5) Late Bloomers: 10:45- 11:15
- Performance
6) DJs: 11:15 - 12pm
- ping pong/dominoes, kick it
time.
Late Bloomers will be performing from 10:45pm.
It's going to be an interesting event.
