I was going through old files in my old hard drive and found some photos from People Under The Stairs x Giant Panda x Time Machine west coast tour in 2005. Just in case you don't know, I am a member of Giant Panda. The tour was for two weeks and we had two off days. We did twelve shows in two weeks. These are the photos from the first show of the tour. It was at The Knitting Factory LA. My friend, Akane took these photos.
My shirt is too big. I used to wear XL shirts.
Thes One (of PUTS)
I remember Time Machine guys had an interesting routine in their set. Their show was usually creative and different.
I fell asleep while I was driving the tour van during this tour. Eveyone from PUTS, Time Machine, and Giant Panda were on the van. I probably fell asleep for a few seconds. It was very dangerous. After that happened, no one asked me to drive the van during the tour.

The project I am doing with ESQ is almost done! We have finished recording more than 20 songs. I have started mixing songs for the first 12" off of the album. I have let some of my friends, Paten Locke, DJ Low Key, and Soup from Fat Beats LA listen to those songs and received pretty good responses. The first 12" is scheduled to be released in May. I will keep you posted.
About a week ago, ESQ and I did a photo shoot with my friend, Sei and just received some JPEG files of the photos from him. These photos will be used for the album and 12". I like how it came out. Thanks, Sei!!

In LA, there are not many restaurants open after 10pm. When I have to stay at the office after 10pm without having a dinner, I often go to Tommy's Burger on my way home. Tommy's is one of my favorite burger spots in LA. Since my partner Sausen and I like Tommy's so much, we decided to use Tommy's board for Tres's alternate logo, which is used on Tres slipmat.
Tommy's is known for Chile Hamburger and Chile Hot Dog. Last night, I had Chile Hot Dog. It was good.
I usually go to the one on Beverly and Rampart. I think this is the first one.

In 2008, TRES released the self title album "Johnson&Jonson," by Blu and Mainframe. Besides the grimy flow, and raw loops, one of the other most memorable aspects of the album was the Red Baby a.k.a Johnny. The baby was conceived by artist, Shawn Barber, who also had other works which were featured on the 12" singles for J&J. When doing shows, J&J would actually bring along Johnny with them on stage and flaunt him, almost as if it were the third member of the group. This continued on until the Red Baby was stolen at one of their shows in San Francisco. Soon after, flyers online could be seen asking "Have you seen the Red Baby? report "Johnny to 1-800-johnson." Johnny is still missing till this day......
In memory of Johnny, and the J&J album, we are doing a limited worldwide release of Red Baby T-Shirts, as well as Red Baby Crewneck Sweaters. Shirts will be available in Black and White, and the sweaters will be available in Black and Gray. These items are now available for preorder at Tres ebay store. All preorders have to be made by purchasing it at Tres ebay site by 2/24/2010. We are going to make the exact quantity we get preorders for. These items are not going to be available for sale after the deadline date for preorder. Both T shirts and sweatshirts are scheduled to be shipped on 3/10/2010.
